Keurig 2.0 a mixed bargain - Keurig 2.0 model 560


Our first Keurig died after 3.5 years, I expect CostCo will take it back. We already bought the new 2.0 and have mixed feelings about it.

Getting past the stupid DRM issues of needing only Keurig pods was easy. We buy San Francisco Bay coffee pods and they have a way of cheating the system into thinking it sees a correct pod and they also have imitated the ink around the top of the pod so it works fine. So, to us that is not an issue.

What is bothering me however is that every few days we need to clean the needle otherwise it spurts and takes forever to get our 8 or 10 ozs of coffee. I am sure this is a design flaw and will cause Keurig all sorts of problems as time continues. We even have their new maintenance tool which avoids needing the paper clip to fix the problem but it shouldn't clog so easily to begin with. in the first 10 days of ownership of 2.0 I have called Keurig already twice.

When it works, it works great. BUT..............
