Keurig B150 brewer problems - Keurig B150
I have purchased two Keurig B150 brewers because they can be 'plumbed-in' to my central RO water supply, and also because they will brew a 12oz. cup size.
However, I have now had problems with BOTH of them and Keurig's only answer is that they will provide a replacement unit that WILL NOT connect to my central RO water supply and DOES NOT support the 12oz. cup size.
(One unit overheated and almost started a fire - now just says overheated and does nothing. The other simply sits there with a "Heating - please wait" message on the screen.)
I am perfectly willing to pay any reasonable amount for the repairs, but was told that Keurig does not supply parts for these units and they are basically throw-away units.
These items are over $450.00 each including the plumbed-in kits and both units are only three years old.
In talking to Keurig's 'support', they say they cannot help me because this is a COMMERCIAL model that they do not support for home use, yet the unit is clearly labeled as being approved for BOTH commercial and home use.
They have also suggested that the original dealer can provide repair services, yet two different dealers, including the one I purchased them from originally, have told me the units are not worth repairing because they cannot get parts from Keurig.
I have no problem with the fact that these units are out of warranty, but I DO have a problem with being told that $900.00 worth of supposedly commercial-grade coffeemakers are useless after three years of use in a home where they only brew between 30 and 50 cups of coffee per week!!
A company that refuses to back up their product in this fashion should not be in business! How many customers would purchase these machines if they were told that the machine only lasts three years, cannot be repaired, and then you have to buy another one??
